Hace poco más de un año la primicia de un servidor por llevar el single “Dragon” (ver aquí), nos daría nuestra primera toma de contacto con la banda neoyorquina Green Hog Band para poner de manifiesto la marca de los norteamericanos en un posterior “Crypt Of Doom” (reseña aquí), que sentaría las bases de ese stoner/doom de tendencias sabbathicas.
En las últimas horas, el power trío ha vuelto por sus fueros con el nuevo sencillo “In The Mist of The Bong”, la primera de las canciones que se abre con todo lujo de detalles al próximo álbum de la formación con base en Brooklyn para lo que será un redondo que llegará en algún momento del presente curso a través de The Swamp Records.
Nuevamente esa afinación baja, riffs distorsionados, tiempos lentos y demoledores y la eterna sombra de Sabbath levitando entre su humeante semblante, son los principales condicionantes de “In The Mist of The Bong”.
